WELCOME FROM PASTOR Dr. Eric Brown

Welcome to the website of

Woodland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

We appreciate you taking the time to find out more about our unique congregation. Woodland is a congregation in transformation, striving to make the necessary changes to become more relevant in the city of Columbus, Ohio, and Franklin County.

A community witness to the Salvation of Jesus the Christ is very necessary in times like these. You will experience a very welcoming congregation and an energetic worship service.

We are also very active in the community, being a lead congregation in the Coalition for Racial Reconciliation, an antiracist coalition, and a member congregation of the Eastside Fellowship Ministries. You can read more about these ministries on other pages on our website. We donate food to the St Philip Episcopal Church Food Pantry in our neighborhood.

At Woodland, we practice biblical justice. I do my best to preach sermons with teachings that people can apply to their daily living. We are a “do no harm” congregation, based on harm reduction.

Being a “do no harm” congregation helps us refrain from passing judgment on persons. All are welcome at Woodland and we mean it. I invite you to come and worship with us and experience the presence of the Lord and the fellowship of loving people. Woodland just might be the church for you.
