While state sponsored executions are in the bible, our studies of Jesus cause us to conclude that, if you can’t give life, you have no business taking life. All human beings are made in God’s image and it is the image of God in every person that should be respected, even the image of God in a murderer.

If men were the ones who got pregnant, abortion wouldn’t be an issue. Historically, men who are not doctors have never fully understood pregnancy. The possible complications of a pregnancy are enormous. Since most men have no clue how complicated and life threatening even a successful pregnancy is, men should stay out of the abortion debate.

The Coalition for Racial Reconciliation is currently an ecumenical coalition of five Christian congregations in the Columbus, Ohio, area. The congregations represent different denominations. The coalition is an antiracism movement. It began with the men’s groups of Woodland Christian Church and Northwest United Methodist Church and has grown to include women and clergy.
